Committee summons respondents on March 28 in Punjab land scam case

Summary A three-member committee is probing the case.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The committee constituted by Lahore High Court (LHC) chief justice (CJ) to probe 193,000 kanal land embezzlement has formally started investigation and has summoned plaintiffs in this regard on March 28.

The mega scam in history of Punjab was unearthed by Dunya News on December 1, 2016.

A three-member committee comprised of session judge (rtd) Nasir Ali Shah, Javed Rashid Meboobi and Zawar Shah.
The committee is supposed to complete probe in one month.

It may be recalled that some culprits have acquired 193, 000 kanal land through verdicts of fake accounts, lawyers, judges and witnesses.
