Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has underlined that a stable and peaceful Afghanistan was in Pakistans strategic interest, and claimed that ties with Afghanistan are being improved. Talking to journalists in Lahore on Tuesday, the FM said that Trilateral (Afghanistan-Pakistan-US) Ministerial Meeting would be held in Washington in February this year, adding that all-out efforts would be made from the trio to achieve maximum tangible results. The Afghan Foreign Minister will visit Pakistan soon, which would help boost the bilateral ties with the neighbouring country. Qureshi asserted that steps should be taken to ensure durable peace in India and Pakistan, and added that his Indian counterpart has invited him over for negotiations.
