Summary Journalist organizations have strongly condemned the cases .
JHANG / SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) – Cases were registered on Tuesday against Dunya News reporters for covering stories regarding doctor negligence and robbery incident.
The first case was registered in Sheikhupura against 18 journalists including a Dunya News representative over reporting the death of a boy due to the negligence of doctor in district headquarter hospital.
The second was filed in Jhang for airing the CCTV footage of a robbery incident.
Kotwali police station Senior House Officer (SHO) registered the case against three journalists including Dunya reporter Liaquat Ali Shaam.
A plea was submitted to Inspector General (IG) Punjab and RPO Faisalabad but no hearing was conducted.
Journalist organizations have strongly condemned the cases against the reporters as a punishment of performing their duties.
