PPP to give amendments on military courts' bill

Summary Spokesperson of PPP said that the party will not withdraw its amendments on the matter

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Asif Ali Zardari chaired the meeting of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Parliamentarians being its President and held a high-level consultation on the matter of military courts’ extension.

Senator Aitezaz Ahsan and Farooq H. Naik briefed the former PPP Chairman on military courts’ bill while discussing its key points.

The session was attended by Nayyar Bukhari, Sherry Rehman, Saleem Mandviwalla, Chaudhry Manzoor and other prominent leaders of the party. These politicians gave their opinion on the matter.

“PPP will not withdraw its amendments for the military courts’ bill”, said the party’s Information Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor.

The PPP leaders believe in recommending their amendments for the bill. Ishaq Dar earlier claimed that PPP agreed to two-year extension in military courts.
