Summary NADRA will maintain a central database for checking visitors in Islamabad and Rawalpindi
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – It was reported on Tuesday that NADRA and the federal government will regulate a central database in order to check whoever is visiting or staying in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. People from all parts of the country visiting the twin cities will be monitored by maintaining a central database.
It was decided in a meeting led by Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan. The law and security enforcing agencies will carry out special surveillance at Sangjani and Peshawar toll plazas.
To prevent any kind of terrorist attack, security forces will make a strategy for Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The meeting also summoned executive police officials from the twin cities.
Names and details of residents and tenants living in Rawalpindi and Islamabad will be organized by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). A special central database for visitors of twin cities will be maintained.
According to the decisions made in the meeting, any suspicious activity in both cities will be reported immediately. Moreover, it was proposed to revamp the infrastructure at the pickets and reduce manpower and duty hours outside workplaces.
