Karachi: Rangers conduct raids, arrest 10 suspects
Raids arrested those involved in street crimes, Lyari gang wars and terror group members
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Spokesperson of Rangers told that two terrorists – belonging from Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and Sipah-e-Muhammad namely Usman and Mehboob Ali respectively – were arrested on Monday from Sohrab Gorh and Site areas of Karachi.
The terrorist suspect Mehboob Ali was involved in ethnic conflicts and firing at Rangers vehicle in 2013. Also, Usman who allegedly belongs from Sipah-e-Muhammad was said to be involved in target killing of police officers as well as planning attacks on Muharram processions.
During an operation in Lyari, a terrorist involved in gang wars was arrested while a group of drug dealers was taken into custody in which one police constable was also named.
Moreover, suspects involved in street crimes in Karachi were also arrested. Illegal weapons and drugs were recovered by the Rangers.
According to details, four suspects were handed over to ANF while six to the police.
