Summary A meeting of the premier is scheduled with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during three-day visit
(News Desk) Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Turkey on Wednesday to attend 5th session of the Pakistan-Turkey High Level Strategic Cooperation Council that is to be held in Ankara tomorrow, Radio Pakistan reported.
The premier was received by the Turkish minister for sports at the airport.


The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that consists of ministers and senior officials. Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi and senior officials are included in the entourage.
The Prime Minister would co-chair meeting of the strategic cooperation session along with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim. The two sides will discuss cooperation in diverse sectors.
A number of agreements and Memorandums of Understanding are expected to be signed during the three-day trip of Nawaz Sharif.
PM Nawaz would also hold wide-ranging consultations with the Turkish leadership on bilateral, regional and international issues.
A meeting of the premier is also scheduled with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Prime Minister will be visiting Turkish Parliament to reaffirm Pakistan’s unequivocal support and solidarity with the government and people of Pakistan against the failed coup attempt in Turkey in July last year.
