Terrorists wanted for Karachi airport, Mehran airbase attacks killed in Karachi
Hayat alias Qari used to assist emir of Lashkar-e-Jhanvi named Asif Chotu
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Five terrorists of seven killed in Shah Lateef Town have been identified on Monday with two being operatives of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, named Umar Hayat and Shakeel Barmi who were involved in airport and Mehran naval airbase attacks.
The operation that was carried out last night by Pakistan Rangers in Shah Lateef Town of Karachi resulted in killings of seven terrorists, five of them were identified today.
Umar Hayat alias Qari was wanted for facilitating attacks and was involved in attacks on Muharram processions in 2010 that claimed 20 lives. He was also involved in attack on Jinnah International Airport in 2014 and that on Mehran airbase in 2011.
Hayat used to assist emir of Lashkar-e-Jhanvi named Asif Chotu who was killed earlier this year in Sheikhupura in a night raid.

Amir Ali Chaudhry was an expert of the banned outfit for manufacturing explosives and was well-equipped to use anti-drone technology. He was wanted for attack on the airport and masterminding a jailbreak in Karachi.
Ijtaba Ahmed Feroze alias Salman Javed was wanted in multiple sectarian killings and planning terror attacks.
Muhammad Shakeel alias Barmi received training in Miramshah in 2013 to use weaponry and explosives. He was wanted in cases over target killings of political and religious workers.
Aqib Yousaf was wanted for attacks on Pakistan Army and facilitating several terror attacks.
Law enforcement agencies are collecting information to identify the two bodies. It should be mentioned here that the exchange of fire continued for at least 40 minutes in Shah Lateef Town injuring a Rangers person.
Eight cases have been lodged in Shah Lateef Town under Anti-terrorism Act.
