KARACHI (Dunya News) – The helmet-wearing rule that was made compulsory for bikers in Karachi has ended with the appointment of new Traffic Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

According to details, the former DIG Amir Shaikh had made helmet-wearing mandatory for bikers in Karachi last year, but since the new DIG Asif Aijaz Shaikh has taken charge, implementation on this rule has finished as well.

Traffic officials also have no solid reason to give when asked about this transition. The new DIG is also unable to control traffic’s flow in Karachi.

On the other hand, some citizens still think that wearing a helmet while riding is important for safety, and some have many excuses for not wearing it.
