RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has on Wednesday said that the Pakistan soldiers inherited the spirit of sacrifice from the army heroes of the past, reported Dunya News.
Visiting 16 Baloch Regiment in Sialkot today, the army chief said that Pakistan army always stood up to every challenge and rose up to the expectations in every hour of need. It is pertinent to mention here that General Qamar Javed Bajwa had also taken commission in this very regiment.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department of Pakistan army, General Bajwa said that unit was a perfect place for any soldier or officer’s professional training.
General Bajwa’s father has also commanded the 16 Baloch regiment. The army chief spent his day with the current and retired soldiers of the regiment. The officers and the soldiers said on the occasion that it was an honour for their regiment that their soldier had gone on to become the army chief of Pakistan.
