Sardar Latif Khosa has taken oath as Punjab Governor on Thursday. Chief Justice Lahore High Court took the oath from Sardar Latif Khosa in oath taking ceremony held in the Governor House Lahore. Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and other political personalites attended the oath taking ceremony. It is pertinent to mention here that Sardar Latif Khosa was appointed Punjab Governor by President Asif Ali Zardari on the advise of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani after the assasination of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer in Islamabad. Taseer was appointed to the post of governor on May 15, 2008, in place of outgoing governor, Lt Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool, by then-President Musharraf at the request of the PPP establishment.
