Summary Blasts were also occurred due to explosion of gas cylinders in the building, stated report.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Deputy Commissioner on Saturday has submitted investigation report of fire at construction company in Lahore to Punjab government.

According to the report, the blaze was caused by short circuit at upper floor when the laborers were taking rest after completing shift.

Blasts were also occurred due to explosion of gas cylinders in the building.

After six minutes to the incident, first rescue van arrived at the spot but the fire tenders reached after 23 minutes.

The report further stated that most of the laborers died due to suffocation however, forensic examination is required to unearth the real cause of the fire. 

Earlier on January 11, at least seven persons were killed while eight survived with severe burns after office of a construction company caught fire in Mehmood Boti area on Ring Road.
