ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Shocking revelations made by veteran politician Javed Hashmi have triggered a new debate among the political parties.

He revealed that former Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Nasir-ul-Mulk had also called a meeting of judges and had also decided the date for new elections.
“New Chief Justice would dissolve the assembly and form a government under the Supreme Court, and we would emerge successful in the elections,” Hashmi quoted Imran Khan as saying.
POLITICAL REACTIONS
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that army and courts should make their positions clear regarding the matter.
Awami National Party (ANP) leader Zahid Khan urged the government to ‘show some courage’ and form a committee to investigate the matter.
Speaking to media, Chaudhry Shujaat said that judiciary should not be dragged into political matters.
"Judiciary should be allowed to work freely," he added.
While rubbishing Javed Hashmi’s claim, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan declared Javed Hashmi an ‘insane person’.
“Javed Hashmi has become a mental patient. He is lying regarding the sit-in statement”, Imran Khan told journalists in Karachi.
On the other hand, legal experts have asked the authorities to conduct an inquiry to find out if the revelations were true.
