Summary 24 police officers have also been reinstated after the verdict came in out-of-turn promotion case
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Soon after the verdict came in out-of-turn promotion case in Punjab Police, as many as 24 police officers have also been reinstated henceforth.
The police officers who have been reinstated include Umar Virk, DIG Umar Akhtar Lalika amd SSP Rana Shahid, SP Manzoor Naji, Ijaz Shafi Dogar and SP Jamat Ali Shah Bukhari.
It has also been reported that SP Raja Basharat, SP Rai Zameer got retired when the case was still in courts while 12 of the Superintendents of Police (SPs) retired prior to even the case started in courts.
Sources revealed that those who got out-of-turn promotions and retired as a result will be awarded the same benefits again, while the rest will soon be performing their duties soon.
