Punjab govt introduces e-stamp papers
Punjab govt implemented the e-stamp papers system in entire province for transfer of property
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Punjab government has on Monday implemented the system of electronic stamp papers for property transfers and related cases in the entire province.
Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif said that more convenience would be provided to the common people as fake stamp papers could not be produced anymore, reported Dunya News.
From now on, the Form-A on stamp papers worth Rs 1000 or more can be filled and stamp duty submitted to the nearest branch of Bank of the Punjab. The website also has the rates of the stamp papers for different areas.
Just fill the form and submit it. Three papers will be issued of the same amount as the stamp duty submitted. First paper will be worth the stamp duty while the other two will be regarding the transfer of property.
Stamp papers till the next day’s date will be issued after submission of the fee. Stamp papers would not be issued in back date.
Legal and non-legal stamp papers worth Rs 1000 of more will be issued now through the website while those that cost less will continue to be issued in the traditional manner.
