Pakistan 'deeply grieved' over Russian military plane crash
People of Pakistan share their grief and stand by Russia, the Foreign Office stated.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan on Sunday expressed grief over Russian plane crash that claimed lives of more than 90 people.
“The leadership and the people of Pakistan are deeply grieved and saddened to learn about the tragic crash of Tu-154 aircraft in the Russian Federation, which resulted in the loss of more than ninety valuable lives, including members of the renowned Alexandrov Ensemble,” the Foreign Office stated in a press release.
“We convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the friendly people and Government of the Russian Federation. The people of Pakistan share their grief and stand by them as they mourn their irreparable loss,” the FO said.
Tu-154 carrying 92 people, including dozens of Red Army Choir singers, dancers and orchestra members, crashed into the Black Sea on its way to Syria, killing everyone on board.

The Russian Defence Ministry said one of its TU-154 Tupolev planes had disappeared from radar screens at 5.25am on Sunday, two minutes after taking off from Sochi in southern Russia, where it had stopped to refuel from Moscow, on its way to Syria.
Major-General Igor Konashenkov, a ministry spokesman, told reporters that nobody had survived.
