The PPP has completed all arrangements to welcome Zardari.

DUBAI (Dunya News) – Former president Asif Ali Zardari has arrived at Dubai airport today (Friday) to leave for Pakistan after spending about 18 months in self-imposed exile.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari posted his father’s photo standing under the Holy Quran before leaving for Pakistan.

Several welcome camps have been established across Karachi for the party workers to give a deserving welcome to Asif Ali Zardari on his return.

The PPP has completed all arrangements to show political strength on the occasion. Party members have been advised to reach Karachi Airport’s old terminal at 1:00pm while the ex-president is expected to reach at 3:00pm.

Zardari will address a big public meeting of party workers soon after his arrival and then leave for Bilawal House by a helicopter.

The former president had left Pakistan in June 2015 after a hard-hitting speech.

For a strong opposition against Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal said, the PPP needs the strategic skill of Zardari. He said that despite having two-third majority in the National Assembly, the Sharif government will have to accept his party’s four demands. The PPP’s four demands include the enactment of the Panama Papers leak Inquiries Bill, 2016; implementation on the all parties conference’s recommendations about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor; formation of a parliamentary committee for oversight on national security and appointment of a full-time foreign minister.

The PPP has threatened to launch an anti-government agitation on Dec 27, the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, if its four demands were not met.
