Summary Pakistan’s will of resuming dialogue should not be mistaken for its weakness, expresses Abdul Basit
AMRITSAR (Dunya News) – Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has revealed that the relationships between Pakistan and India are in its crucial phase and that is because of the issue of Kashmir.
Abdul Basit expressed this while talking to media at the end of Heart of Asia conference as he revealed that Pakistan’s will of resuming dialogue should not be mistaken for its weakness.
He revealed that we are not begging for dialogue with India and are ready for talks that would pursue on equal basis.
Pakistani High Commissioner let it be known that without resolving the issue of Kashmir, establishing peace within South Asia is impossible.
Abdul Basit expressed that the issue of Kashmir should be resolved according to will of the people of Kashmir.
He professed that Pakistan is striving for eradicating terrorism and the rest of the countries should play roles in this regard.
Abdul Basit revealed that the allegation game would not put an end to the violent incidents within Afghanistan.
He expressed that Afghanistan and other countries should stop Taliban from carrying out attacks within Afghanistan.
Pakistani High Commissioner revealed that Pakistan had offered great sacrifices for Afghanistan.
Abdul Basit also rejected the news of Sartaj Aziz’s meeting with Indian Security Adviser Ajit Doval as he revealed that both the leaders had an informal discussion at the conference.
