Former CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz and SP Khurram Shahzad, who got arrested from court premises on the charges of flaws in security arrangements during public gathering of Benazir Bhutto in Rawalpindi, have been handed over to the FIA on 6-day physical remand. Both the officers were presented before the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court and prosecutor Ch Zulfiqar requested for a physical remand because the mobile phone records were yet to be recovered in the 2007 incident. Lawyer Waheed Anjum said that there was not reason to grant physical remand of the accused and FIA could not ask for the remand. The court granted six days physical remand of both the officers.
