KP Governor stuck in Karachis worst traffic jam
Citizens were in serious trouble as traffic got stuck in various areas of the financial capital
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra was on Tuesday stuck in traffic here as the city had one of the worst traffic jams, culminating into queues expanding over kilometers. Traffic police failed completely to control the traffic on the occasion, reported Dunya News.
Cars were stuck in traffic in various areas including Gulistan-e-Johar, Rashid Minhas Road, Isa Nagri, Liaquatabad, Johar Morr and Old Sabzi Mandi. Citizens of Karachi had to face the consequences of an ineffective traffic police system.
KP governor, who is on two-day visit of Karachi, was stuck on Marripur Road for about half an hour. It was a tough test for the law enforcement agencies on this occasion to pave the way for his convoy.
Jhagra arrived at Abdul Sattar Edhi’s home after getting rid of this traffic jam and condoled the late philanthropist’s demise with his son Faisal Edhi. He also met the survivors of deceased Sufi singer Amjad Sabri at his home. He also announced Rs 300,000 for the education of his sons on this occasion.
After visiting Quaid’s tomb in Karachi, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra also announced that there will soon be good news for the nation regarding Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). He had to cut short his visit due to the traffic jam.
