Cable operators call off strike after talks with PBA
A committee has been formed for talks with govt over DTH issue
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan Cable Operators Association, Khalid Arain has called off the strike on Tuesday after successful talks with committee of Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) headed by its President, Mian Amir Mehmood.
While conversing with Mujeebur Rehman Shami and Ajmal Jami in programme, ‘Nuqta-e-Nazar’, Khalid Arain said that the strike was called off with immediate effect after negotiations with PBA.
He claimed that PBA would side with the operators in case Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) chose to pursue action against the association.
President of PBA decided to establish a joint committee that would hold talks with the government over Direct To Home (DTH) service issue.
