Summary Rao Anwar would be ordered to arrest Dr Sattar, ATC tells investigation officer
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has resented authorities for not arresting chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM) chief, Dr Farooq Sattar in case over attack on media houses and anti-Pakistan slogans.
The court stated that Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Rao Anwar would be ordered to present Dr Sattar before court if the authorities fail to arrest him.
While addressing the investigation officer, the court stated that MQM-Pakistan’s chief was delivering speeches and making public appearances while the personnel were maintaining that they could not find him.
However, the court rejected bail pleas of three suspects, Amir, Mohsin and Fareed and adjourned the hearing until November 30.
Hearing of Kanwar Naveed’s bail plea was adjourned until November 28.
Farooq Sattar among others is fighting a legal case in ATC over storming of offices of two private media houses in Karachi on August 22 following speech of founder of the party that allegedly incited activists.
