BZU students demand Lahore campus's affiliation with HEC

The protesters have announced to continue the demonstration until the fulfillment of six demands.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Scores of students of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Lahore campus continue to protest on second day, Wednesday against the non-verification of their degrees.



The students said that their matter has not been solved yet as fake promises were made with them. They have demaned that their campus must be affiliated with Higher Education Commission (HEC) so that they can get verified degrees.

They were holding placards and raised slogans against the univeristy administration for ruining their future.



The protesters have announced to continue the demonstration until the fulfillment of their six demands.



The students while gathering at the Canal Road blocked the road for traffic due to which the vehicles’ movement was badly disrupted.

They had spent the last night under open sky in cold and foggy environment. However; no university official has yet approached them for negotiations.
