Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and India inked an agreement of $7.6b gas pipeline on Saturday. The agreement was signed by President Asif Ali Zardari. The president also met with Afghanistan, Turkmenistan Presidents, while Indian petroleum minister was also present. The gas pipeline will connect Pak gas network near Multan and would help overcome energy crisis. Construction of the pipeline will be completed by 2013-14. President Asif Ali Zardari said that the project would bring prosperity in the region. Experts showed their concerns on projects completion due to law and order situation in Afghanistan but all the member countries were hopeful for its completion in time.
