ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan should have joined his protest in Rawalpindi on October 28.

Speaking to reporters outside the Supreme Court in Islamabad today (Tuesday), the AML chief said, “He (Imran) should have come to Rawalpindi on October 28 at any cost. Same happened on August 13, but we do not complain during war times. We support Imran Khan.”

Referring to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as the Turkish president, he said it is now for the Pak Army to decide whose side it is on.

"Now the army need to decide if they are with Erdogan or with people," he said, adding that we want to get rid of Nawaz Sharif at any cost.

Moreover, Sheikh Rasheed said his party stands with the army and not those who support India’s spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). However, he clarified that he was not inviting the army.

On the other hand, when a reporter asked Imran Khan about the reason behind cancellation of his Oct 28 plan, the PTI chairman said, “captain does not reveal his strategy.”

Khan has threatened to "shut down" Islamabad in his push to unseat Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on grounds of alleged corruption linked to the "Panama Papers" leak.
