CM Punjab refuses to support RGST

Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that his party cannot support RGST in the present state of affairs in the country, Dunya News reported on Saturday. He said that he has told the federal finance minister about their decision. The chief minister also said that the colleges are being given autonomy to improve the standard of education and that fees are not being increased neither the colleges are being privatized. Talking to the media at Lahore Airport before leaving for an official visit of the UAE Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the purpose of his visit is to encourage investments in different sectors especially livestock and energy sectors. He further said that PML-N has refused to support RGST. Shahbaz Sharif said that it is the responsibility of the government to increase the revenue base by improving and reforming the taxation system. Chief Minister Punjab told the media that the colleges are being given autonomy to improve the standard of education and that no college would be privatized. He also assured that fees would not be increased.
