Summary Government representatives said that all institutions concerned took the steps for Panama leak probe

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Daniyal Aziz, Member of National Assembly (MNA) and Minister of State for Privatization, Muhammad Zubair on Wednesday have lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) by rhetorically stating that its Chairman, Imran Khan should be open to investigation of his finances if he had nothing to hide.

Aziz and the minister held a joint press conference in the federal capital today.

Daniyal Aziz said that Imran Khan was habitual of doing about-face in his political career. He did not stand up to his words of facing a challenge put forth by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Aziz claimed.

He demanded Khan to present documents that hold Nawaz Sharif, the Prime Minister (PM), owner of an apartment in London as alleged by PTI over corruption accusation.

The government representatives asserted that all institutions concerned took the steps required for probe of Panama leak.

The MNA accused Khan of investing the charity collected in the name of Shaukat Khanum Trust Memorial Hospital in British Virgin Islands. He said that the money dealt with by Aleem Khan and Jahangir Tareen could have been utilized for the welfare of Pakistanis.

It was asserted on the occasion that there was reliable evidence against Imran Khan that proved evasion of taxes and illegal transfer of money. Aziz alleged PTI chief of ‘humiliating’ the national institutions and said that he was fooling the nation. Both the government representatives agreed in the press conference that Khan was a hurdle in progress of Pakistan.

Daniyal Aziz avowed that the committee formed to finalise joint Terms of References (TOR) for probe of Panama leak under the Supreme Court was hit by a lull because of PTI.

Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf waited at least five months while the government wrote a letter to the Supreme Court in the issue without any delay, Aziz said.
