Dunya News

Action will be taken under the Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act (PEEDA) 2006

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab School Education Department has decided to act against the teachers within Punjab under the Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act (PEEDA) 2006, reported Dunya News.

According to details, Chief Minister Punjab has approved the action against teachers owing to the poor performance of the students in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.

The authorities want to figure out as to why students exhibited poor performance in the recent SSC examinations.  Either teachers were not been able to devise strategy or there existed some other reasons? The onus of responsibility now lies upon the Punjab School Education Department about the later proceedings in this regard.

On the other hand, Government of Punjab has directed the executive district officers (EDOs) to provide markers and white boards instead of chalks and black boards to the schools within the province. The decision has been taken based upon the health and precautionary measures.
