KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced on Wednesday to lead a ‘Salam Shuhda’ rally on October 16 in remembrance of the martyrs of Karsaz incident.

Around 180 persons, most of whom were activists of PPP were killed in twin bomb blasts on October 18, 2007 while 500 wounded as flocks of people welcomed first ever woman prime minister of Pakistan, late Benazir Bhutto upon her return to the country after years.

Around two months after the blasts she was assassinated and a legal case is ongoing.

In a video message, released today by the media cell of PPP, Bilawal said that he would be leading a mass rally to honour the people who had lost lives in the incident around nine years ago.

The groups would begin the march from outside Bilawal House in the morning before concluding the gathering in Karsaz area.

In his message, he also remembered the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), Bibi Zainab (R.A) and their companions against forces of the evil in connection with the day today, 10th Muharram.

The strength shown by Hazrat Hussain (RA) and his followers on 10th Muharram was an unmatchable example for the world, he said.
