MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Pakistani Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider wrote a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon calling for the release of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, reported Dunya News.
Prime Minister Azad Kashmir also visited several areas along the LoC and met the affectees of unprovoked firing of the Indian forces at Jhimber sector.
Raja Farooq Haider told on the occasion that the traces of surgical strikes were nowhere to be found along the LoC. He alleged that India wants disturbance in the region over Uri attack.
Prime Minister Azad Kashmir announced that the federal government has announced Rs 7 billion for the construction of underground abris in a bid to save the Kashmiris residents across the LoC.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Pakistani Azad Kashmir has also written a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon for the release of Yasin Malik. He mentioned in the letter that despite the continuously deteriorating health conditions of the Kashmiri leader, he is still under the illegal custody of the Indian forces.
Several Hurriyat leaders including Yasin Malik were arrested amidst the unrest in Indian-administered Kashmir after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani.
