MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has said that scholars from all the sects and religious schools of thought should cooperate and coordinate with eachother to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, Dunya News reported on Monday. He said that sectarian harmony is needed in the country so as to ensure peace. Addressing a convention on sectarian harmony in Karachi Altaf Hussain said that MQM organized the highest number of conventions for Muslim unity and sectarian harmony. Altaf Hussain said that scholars belonging to all sects should pledge to support truth and to work against the evil forces. He also requested the Islamic scholars to guide the parliamentarians of MQM on blasphemy law. MQM Chief also said that the government should ensure fool proof security of all religious places, tombs, mausoleums and mosques. Altaf Hussain further said that the government should levy taxes on the elite strata and that instead of increasing the tariffs of electricity it should employ other sources to generate power. MQM Chief also advised the government not to get dictated by any super power.
