ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Advisor to Prime Minister on National Security, General (r) Nasir Janjua has briefed the Prime Minister on Thursday over latest situation at the Line of Control against India after exchange of fire, provoked by Indian Border Security Force, claimed lives of two Pakistani armymen.

Spokesperson for the Prime Minister House has reported to the media that premier Nawaz Sharif was being kept in loop with the latest of developments concerning national security in light of the newest Indian claims.

In this regard, NSA Janjua forwarded a comprehensive report to the Prime Minister over the situation at the Line of Control.

Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar briefed the premier over security condition in the country among several representatives of different security-related agencies.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called a meeting of the federal cabinet on Friday and that of the National Security Committee on Tuesday to deliberate at length over the outstanding issues with India in context of the tensions that spiraled out of control today over false claims of surgical strike.

Indian counterpart of the premier, Narendra Modi is also to convene a high-level meeting on Friday in New Delhi.

During the meeting with Nasir Janjua, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the two martyrs who laid their lives in line of glory of their country against Indian shelling earlier in the day.
