MQM Pakistan chief said that the purpose of August 23 move was to protect dignity of Muhajirs.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar while addressing general workers meeting of the Elders Wing of his party said that the purpose of August 23 move was to protect dignity and 38 years of struggle of Muhajirs, Dunya News reported.

Farooq Sattar further said that Karachi alone generates 60 percent revenue of the country but in return receives only two percent from the federation. He demanded that 15 percent revenue of the country should be provided for Karachi.

Also speaking on the occasion MQM leader Raaif Khan said that Muhahir community fully supports MQM Pakistan. Leaders of Elders Wing also addressed the meeting.
