Islamabad (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wrote a letter to leadership of permanent members of the Security Council, reported Dunya News.
According to details, it was demanded that the world should take a clear notice of Indian atrocities in Kashmir.
The letter was addressed to the leaders and states of USA, China, Russia, France and UK. It was clearly stated in the letter that the world peace and sovereignty was at risk owing to the unresolved issue of Kashmir.
PM urged world leaders to stop the killing of innocent civilians in occupied territory of Kashmir by the Indian forces. It was also stated in the letter that regional situation was at sixes and sevens due to Kashmir issue.
PM also stated in the letter that the onus of responsibility was lying upon permanent members of the Security Council to solve the unresolved issue of Kashmir.
Nawaz Sharif mentioned in the letter that Kashmir was the oldest issue on Security Council’s agenda that was still unresolved. He also stated that the resolutions of the Security Council were still needed to be resolved even after 68 years.
The Prime Minister was of the opinion that the transparent referendum under United Nations was the only solution to the problem.
