Rehman announces Rs100m for terror informant

Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Saturday announced Rs100million prize money for the informants of any suicide bombers and makers of suicide vests, Dunya News reported on Saturday. Speaking to media representatives, Malik hinted that on Friday (yesterday) the police managed to foil a terrorists plan to attack the parliament, adding that terrorism could only be eliminated with public cooperation. He said that the government was cracking down on corruption,He further said government would reward those giving information and leads on terrorists. Malik appreciated the efforts of Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh and said the RGST would widen the countrys tax base. Widening the tax net is vital for the countrys security and survival, he said.
