RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Local court in Rawalpindi has ordered accused model Ayyan Ali to contact anti-terrorism court (ATC) in customs inspector murder case, reported on Thursday.

According to details, regional magistrate Gulfam Latif Butt heard the case over Ayyan’s plea in customs officer Ijaz Chaudhry murder case.

During the hearing, counsel said that the magistrate is wasting time on this case as Supreme Court has already suspended arrest warrants of his client.

He also lashed out at Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and advised him to focus on Quetta incident and Panama leaks issue.

The prosecutor told the court that terrorism provision has been included in the case after which, the court directed the accused to approach ATC for further proceeding of plea.

Inspector Ijaz, reportedly, was the official in-charge who confiscated the money. According to slain inspector’s wife, her husband was made to pay the price for not succumbing to the pressure.

Inspector Ijaz was shot in legs and was admitted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital.

Sources said that Ijaz’s brother, Chaudhry Riaz Afzal was told that his condition was stable and the operation had been successful.

However, after the medics had a ‘chat’ with few customs officials, Afzal was instructed to arrange blood and the next day the victim was dead.

Ayyan Ali is fighting the money laundering case and her name has been repeatedly put and omitted from the Exit Control List since last year.

She was allowed to leave the country by Supreme Court but was again barred at the airport.
