Karachi: Rangers freed 100 held during crackdown

Around 100 people arrested during a crackdown in Karachi the other night have been released, while 120 others are being grilled, Dunya News reported on Friday. On Thursday, Rangers have arrested many suspected miscreants amid crackdown carried out in several parts in Karachi. Those areas saw arrests included Sultanabad, Hijrat Colony, Quaid-e-Azam Colony, Gulistan-e-Johar, Quaidabad and Kati Pahari.Rangers officials said they have launched a series of crackdowns against criminal elements in Karachi but sources said some unidentified men snatched rangers weapons in Sultanabad locality, which led to arrests in areas. On the other hand, ANP staged a walkout in the Upper House session against the netting of its members in Karachi on false accusations.
