DERA GHAZI KHAN (Web Desk) – Polling in PP-240 constituency of Taunsa Sharif started at 8:00am today (Thursday) and will continue till 5:00pm, Dunya News reported.
A total of sixteen candidates including Mumtaz Aziz Qaisrani of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) and PTI-backed independent candidate Daud Sulemani are contesting the by-election.
Number of registered voters is 150,410 whereas 128 polling stations have been established in the constituency.
The seat fell vacant after disqualification of PML-N’s Shamoona Qaisrani.
PP-240 results were challenged by independent candidate Khawaja Daud Sulemani over irregularities and malpractices during 2013 elections.
