Dr Ajmals abduction: KP varsities shut for indefinite period

Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPWASA) announced closure of the universities across Khyber Pkahtunkhwa for an indefinite period against the abduction of VC of Islamia College University Peshawar, Dr Ajmal Khan, Dunya News reported on Monday. During a meeting in Peshawar, FAPWASA decided to keep all the varsities across the province shut till the recovery of the kidnapped professor. It merits to mention that all the universities had been closed before Eid holidays to press the government for the early recovery of Dr Ajmal, who was kidnapped on Sept 7, 2010. Peshawar Engineering University, however, would not suspend its exams schedule.
