No construction work has been started on 10 projects of dams despite the fact that Wapda has spent around Rs850million on the proposals during the current fiscal year. According to a new report by planning commission, Rs 5.78 billion have been earmarked for ten hydropower projects under the public sector development programme. However no work has been started. The stipulated time for most of the dams is 2-3 years while deplorably 15 percent money has been spent. The said dams include Nai Judge, Karram Tangi, Darwat, Wandar, Naulang, Hangol, Ghabeer Bara, Darban and Pullar projects.
