ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) on Wednesday took suo moto notice of illegal appointments in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Dunya News reported.
The Chief Justice has issued a notice to NAB Chairman, directing him to submit a report on the matter, the Registrar Office sources told.
The suo moto notice was taken on a letter submitted by a citizen.
Registrar Office has also been ordered to fix a date for hearing of the case at earliest.
The National Accountability Bureau is Pakistan’s apex anti-corruption organization. It is charged with the responsibility of elimination of corruption through a holistic approach of awareness, prevention and enforcement.
