Summary Langove's counsels were martyred in Quetta blast
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Accountability court has extended judicial remand of former finance adviser Khalid Langove by 14 days in a corruption reference lodged after around Rs 730 million were recovered from former finance secretary’s residence on May 6, reported Wednesday.
Judge Abdul Majeed Nasir heard the corruption case during which the accused finance adviser filed certificates pertaining to his bad health.
The court ordered authorities to shift Langove to jail ward.
However, the court extended his remand owing to the fact that his counsels, Balochistan Bar Association former president Baz Muhammad Kakar and Basheer Zehri were martyred in the latest terror attack in Quetta.
A suicide blast in Quetta’s Civil Hospital claimed over 70 lives, mostly lawyers as they had gathered to protest killing of Balochistan Bar Association president.
The former finance adviser had vowed to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and National Accountability Bureau in investigations after Raisani’s arrest.
But he failed to appear before the bureau thrice after summons and was arrested in court’s premises after a hearing earlier.
On the other hand, Raisani was arrested in civil secretariat, the morning after late night raid at his house. Different persons have been taken into custody since then on arrested culprits identification.
