JHANG (Dunya News) – Underage brother and sister on Tuesday died of electrocution in a house near railway crossing in Jhang.
According to details, the incident took place in Jalalabad area when the children tried to open iron door that suddenly caught current due to electricity wires extension passing above.
The minors identified as seven-year-old Naeem and three-year-old Emaan Fatima died on the spot.
Earlier, three members of family were electrocuted while two were shifted to hospital for electrocution induced injuries in Shahdara.
As a girl shifted a cot in the early morning from rooftop to a nearby shed, it came in contact with live wires passing above which claimed her life on the spot.
In another incident, a live wire fell into stagnant water on Anum Road in Kot Lakhpat Division of Lahore after a rainfall claiming two lives.
Inquiry conducted on the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recommended suspension of officials responsible and registration of a First Information Report.
