Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has presided over a high level meeting in Lahore in which matters of distribution of watan cards amongst flood-affectees, free seed and fertilizers, distribution of warm clothes and construction of model villages were discussed. The chief minister directed the public representatives to visit the flood-hit areas in order to attend the affected people and their complaints. The chief minister said that 1.20 billion rupees would be spent from his special fund to provide modern facilities in the model villages. On the other hand federal minister for railways Ghulam Ahmed Bilor and senior minister of KhyberPakhtunkhwa Bashir Bilor called on the chief minister to condole on his uncles demise.
