President Asif Ali Zardari has directed the FIA to investigate reports of messing up accommodation arrangements made for Pakistani Pilgrims in Makkah by the Ministry of Religious Affairs as well as the complaints of non-provision of basic facilities to the Pilgrims.Presidential Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that the President took note of the reports of huge mismanagement in hiring accommodation and the complaints of non-provision of basic facilities to Pakistani Pilgrims and directed that the report of the FIA investigations into these complaints be submitted without delay. He said that a number of Pilgrims had sent their complaints direct from Makkah to the Presidency.In another development, the President also called for a report from the Ministry of Minorities Affairs over the sentencing to death of a Christian woman for alleged blasphemy in Nankana Sahib last Monday. Farhatullah Babar said that the President asked Minorities Affairs Minister Shahbaz Bhatti to submit a report within three days.
