13-year-old boy goes missing in Lahore's Samanabad
Children kidnappings have surged in the past month in the province mainly in Lahore
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Another minor, 13-year-old boy was kidnapped last night in Samanabad while police are yet to nab any group orchestrating the abductions in the city, reported Wednesday.
Details have it that Aman Qamar drove his motorcycle out of the house in N-block at night and did not return. Relatives fear that he has been kidnapped whereas police have launched investigations in the matter.
Earlier on Monday, a three-year-old girl was kidnapped in Anarkali area and two children abducted from different areas were recovered.
Three-year-old named Jannat Hayat was taken along by her family to shopping in Anarkali when according to her parents, she suddenly disappeared.
A case was lodged at Anarkali Police Station while on the other hand, four-year-old Noor Fatima and seven-year-old Haider who were reported kidnapped on Sunday were recovered according to the police.

Inspector General of Police stated last week that most the children that go missing leave their house due to violence or unpleasant relations and do not return.
Around 6,793 children were abducted in the last six years according to the police out of which over 6,200 have been recovered.
Ministry of Human Rights took notice of the growing crime incidence and summoned a meeting this Friday in Lahore. Different organisations working for the welfare of children other related jobs have been asked to attend the session.
Different departments concerned will present a briefing over the issue after which a strategy will be devised.
