The two-day meeting of Pakistan Development Forum (PDF) has been kicked off in Islamabad with government stressing upon the international community to assist Pakistan for a consistent development, Dunya News reported on Sunday. In his inaugural speech in the meeting, Finance Minister Hafeez Shaikh said the country is currently going through a process of change, and assured all-out efforts to rehabilitate the flood-victims. Shaikh said that the 18th Amendment is a major development and that the objective of holding the PDF was not to obtain aid from the world.During the meeting, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Owais Ghani said that billions of rupees were required to improve the conditions of the province. Ghani said that due terrorism businesses had been the worst-affected. Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab, Saradar Zulfiqar Khosa, CM Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani and others also spoke on the occasion.
