Punjab govt orders closure of hotels, banquet halls at 10pm

Punjab government has issued orders to wind up all the ceremonies and functions before 10 pm at banquet halls and hotels. Section 144 has been imposed in this regard. Earlier, Orders of shutting down markets at 8pm and closing all the halls at 10pm as per energy conservation plan were not seriously observed. Punjab government therefore reissued the serious orders of closing all the banquet halls and hotel at 10 pm. According to orders, serious action would be taken against the hotels denying orders. On the other hand orders about shutting down markets are not given.
