Summary Matter of extension in Rangers' powers shall be dealt after election of new CM, sources say
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The extension in the authority of Rangers in Sindh has been delayed as Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah did not sign the summary for the extension in the Rangers’ powers. The matter shall now be dealt by the upcoming CM, reported Dunya News.
Additional Secretary Sindh met with Sindh CM on Monday. Qaim Ali Shah was presented the summary regarding the extension in the authority of Rangers but the Chief Minister handed the summary back without signing it.
The authority of Rangers in Sindh expired on July 19 and has yet not been extended despite increasing pressure from the federal government and various sectors of the public.
Sources indicated that the matter will be resolved after a new Chief Minister of the province gets elected.
