Water level continues to rise as flood torrent reaches Kotri Barrage

SUKKUR (Dunya News) – Flood that created issues for residents of upper parts of the country has reached Kotri Barrage after passing through Sukkur Barrage, reported Monday.
According to the control room of irrigation department at Kotri Barrage, water level at the site is continuously rising for the last 24 hours.
Inward flow at the aforementioned barrage is 1,49,657 cusecs while discharge stands at 1,10,422 cusecs.
Sajid Ali Bhutto, Executive Engineer (XeN) at Kotri Barrage said that the first flood is passing through the barrage which is around two lac cusecs to three lac cusecs.
He assured that measures to counter all kinds of adverse happenings due to high level of water at Kotri are completed.
